Mamahuhu

Mamahuhu - the word of the day. Means so-so. Someone asks how you are, how you're doing, you get the pleasure of responding "MaMa hoohoo", possibly making your day a little bit better.
Things continue on. Friday - my last day to teach those classes. Teresa gave me a schedule of all the classes and a sort of outline on which classes she wants me to visit. I have to start learning all of the students names and checking their homework, making sure they do everything they're supposed to, keeping them after, and other fun things. Will the kids miss me as their teacher? Who knows. Ate some more purple bread, quite good.
Went to the store, got a kettle, food, sugared plums, blah blah blah. I enjoy shopping immensely of course. It was late late (12-2 maybe) and I did some more impulse buying but I think I kept it to a nice minimum.
Typhoon number 19 heading in my immediate direction. English name - Longwang. I still snicker every time. Hey, it brightens my day. So, typhoon rain. Don't particularly want to go out in it right now. The pressure wreaks havoc on my head and I used my nice new kettle to make me some very hot tea (because my drugs didn't seem to work). And now, I'm off to read some candy (def= mystery, romance, horror, etc; anything with about 200-400 pages that I can read in about 5 hours or so- pageturners that I won't necessarily remember the plot to in about 2 months), in English yay, in the hopes that it will cheer me.
Later, ~allie

Mamahuhu sounds too much like humuhumunukunukuapua'a, the state fish of Hawai'i. (How's that for science bowl trivia?)

I heard about longwang. They think it's going to penetrate the coast. :D
